MASTER-S/Milla Refractometer – Determination of salinity and density of salt water

The MASTER-S/Milla Refractometer is a handheld refractometer from ATAGO that can determine both salinity and density of salt water. It is made of a material that is resistant to salt water. The refractometer has automatic temperature compensation and is water resistant (IP65).

  • Range: Salinity: 0 to 100‰, Specific gravity: 1,000 to 1,070 (Automatic temperature compensation)
  • Accuracy: Salinity: ±2‰, Specific gravity: ±0.001
  • Minimum scale: Salinity: 1‰, Specific gravity: 0.001

 

This instrument measures the salinity and density of seawater and uses a new material that is resistant to salty samples. The salinity of seawater is displayed in parts per thousand (‰). It is an ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation) model with water-resistant properties (IP65).
