Toucan Active – Environmentally friendly and efficient production of ECA water for daily disinfection

With Toucan Active, it’s now quick and easy to produce Electro Chemical Activated (ECA) water – also known as active chlorine – directly on site. The machine uses an electrolysis process to convert plain water (H₂O) and household salt (NaCl) into hypochlorous acid, an effective yet harmless liquid with disinfectant properties.

Toucan Active is available in two variants:

• Toucan Active Plus: With a 5 liter tank, ECA water with approximately 400 ppm active chlorine is produced in 45 minutes.

• Toucan Active: With a 10 liter tank, ECA water can be produced at 100 ppm in 15 minutes or 200 ppm in 30 minutes.

Both variants come complete with shelf and salt dispenser, giving you a fully integrated solution ready to use. ECA water is ideal for cleaning, disinfection and hygiene control in many different industries – without the use of harmful chemicals.

Both units are approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration for disinfection of food contact surfaces in food production, on fishing vessels and in cattle herds – without the need for rinsing. ECA water has a pH value of approximately 8.2 and is safe to work with.
