Toucan ECO eSpray produces 350 ml of ECA water in 5 minutes via electrolysis of water and salt. ECA water disinfects effectively, is gentle on the skin and has a pH of 8.5. It is safe to work with and ideal for surface disinfection and against microorganisms, including bacteria and viruses such as SARS-CoV-2.
With this machine you can produce 350 ml ECA water (160 ppm) in-situ in just 5 minutes.
The machine uses electrolysis to convert water (H2O) and common household salt (NaCl) into Hypochlorous acid – a harmless liquid called ECA (Electro Chemical Activated) water or active chlorine.
Hypochlorous acid forms naturally in humans and animals as a defense against infections and is up to 100 times more effective as a disinfectant than traditional chlorine compounds.
Toucan ECO espray forms 350 ml of ECA at pH 8.5 in 5 minutes, and since Hypochlorous acid is the body’s own disinfectant, it is much healthier to work with than traditional disinfectants. There is no reaction if it gets into the eyes, for example.
ECA is effective against all microorganisms including bacteria, mold, yeast and viruses. Several tests on ECA have been carried out at international test laboratories, all of which have shown that a killing effect of 99.99% is achieved at a solution of just 100ppm and that it is effective against enveloped viruses such as SARS-CoV-2, which is the virus that causes COVID-19.
In addition to disinfecting, ECA water also has a cleaning effect, and it is typically experienced that surfaces appear more shiny. This effect is especially noticeable on stainless steel when using a microfiber cloth.
ECA liquid has a pH value of approximately 8.2 in the working solution and is therefore completely safe to work with compared to other traditional disinfectants.
