Food production
ECA is a liquid with a powerful disinfecting and cleaning effect that is created from 2 sustainable raw materials; water and salt on site. In short, it is a machine that uses ordinary salt (NaCl) and tap water (H2O) to create a liquid that can both clean and disinfect in the same operation. This is a groundbreaking solution that is efficient, economical, sustainable, environmentally friendly and better for staff to work with than the synthetic chemistry used today. In food production, ECA is typically used instead of classic disinfectants such as sodium hypochlorite, and since ECA is approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration without subsequent rinsing, water savings are often the triggering factor for using ECA.
Areas of application:
Surface and CIP disinfection
ECA is at least as effective as traditional disinfectants and effectively kills bacteria, yeast and mold as well as viruses and is approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration without subsequent rinsing.
Fog disinfection
ECA can be used as fog disinfection in production rooms to ensure disinfection in even the most inaccessible areas
Process water disinfection
It is permitted to use ECA to ensure that process water does not contain unwanted microorganisms even if the food comes into contact with the process water
Ice machines
It is allowed to use ECA as an additive to the water in ice machines as a preventive measure to avoid biofilm and bacteria build-up in the ice machine.
Laundry
ECA can replace traditional washing powder in washing machines for washing work clothes, and not only cleans, but also washes bacteria- and odor-free.
Hand disinfection
ECA is approved for hand disinfection
Why choose eca?
ECA is a multifunctional disinfectant that can be used anywhere, the main advantages are:
- Reduction of disinfectant costs (ECA costs approx. 0.01 kr./liter to produce)
- Reduction of total germs in the finished product (ECA eliminates biofilm and kills microorganisms)
- Reduction in water consumption (ECA is approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration without subsequent rinsing)
- Improving the working environment (ECA has no hazard labels and does not require the use of protective equipment)
- Greener profile (No synthetic chemicals, no transportation of chemicals or disposal of plastic containers)
- Improved ESG accounting (ECA has a CO2e footprint of approximately 0.0008 kg CO2/liter)
- Fewer sick days (less sick leave due to chemistry-related problems such as headaches)
